11 Sep

As we hit the 9th anniversary of 9/11 I find myself wondering how far we’ve come. There’s a lot of noise right now about locations of things and who has the right to do what. Don’t get caught up in the chatter. The day was horrible, the memory doesn’t have to be. That day brought America together. When I look back on 9/11 I’m moved to the core by the things I saw. Not death, but life. There was so much life and love on that day. We became a family on that day. We appreciated life on that day. We felt patriotism, some of us for the first time, on that day. We clung to each other. Take a moment today to remember those things because those are things that matter.
